road map of ceresBy car:

Ceres is two and a half miles south-east of Cupar, and seven miles south-west of St Andrews. When you reach the village, follow signs to the public Car Park. This is free, and there are public toilets. Across the burn from the Car Park is the back of the Museum.

You can come across the footbridge and through the Museum garden, or cross the old packhorse bridge and turn left. You will reach the High Street. The Museum Entrance will be on your left with the Extension housing the shop on your right.

By foot:

There is a beautiful footpath leading from the outskirts of Cupar into the heart of Ceres. It is approximately 2 1/4 miles long and is an excellent, well-travelled walk.

From the train station, follow the road over the bridge towards Tesco. Continue on past Tesco and take the second road on your left. Follow it out of town past the graveyard and you will see a small green sign on your right marking the footpath to Ceres. The footpath will look like this:wooded pathwy to ceres

Follow the path over the moor and you will eventually see Ceres in the distance.
